of Degree course in Pharmacy. However syllabi prescribed by many universities

author has made every effort to reproduce the syllabi prescribed by A.I.C.T.E and
various universities in the simplest possible and effective way.
The author has closely dealt with the subject for about 30 years, while working
in capacity of the principal of Government aided Pharmacy institutions.
Overwhelming response to the book written by the author on the same subject for
diploma students and valued suggestions of many principals and teachers of degree
level Pharmacy education encouraged him for this book. While simplifying and
making the contents interesting, the author has not made any compromise which
lowers the value of contents. And thus he is confident and can modestly declare that
this book will also be well received in the hands of valuable teachers and over all
students of B. Pharm. and Pharm. D. However, suggestions with a view to improve
academic value of this book are most welcome.
