He was promoted as Assistant Conservator of Forests and deputed as Divisional Manger in the Arasu Rubber corporation in the year 1991, then as Wildlife warden in the Grizzled giant squirrel sanctuary Srivilliputtur. Further he was posted as Deputy Director in the Kalakkadu Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve, then posted as Regional Manager in the Tamil Nadu Forest Plantation Corporation, Villupuram. He was
promoted as Deputy Conservator of Forests in 1999 and posted as Divisional Forest Officer in Vellore. He was conferred IFS and posted as District Forest Officer, Tirunelveli, Divisional Forest Officer Ramanathapuram and finally at Tirunelveli Social Forestry Division.
